Houston Engineering is nearly complete with 100% plans. We submitted our final comments back in February, but I don’t think the 100% set will quite be issued by the 3/27 meeting. Washington County is the fee title landowner, so no additional agreements are required. Once we secure funding, SWWD and the county will enter into a MOU to formally transfer our local match funds to the county. Installation is slated to occur in fall 2024. This project is functionally ready to move into bidding and construction phases as soon as funding is secured. As to the scoring… I did my best with that one. There isn’t a SWA covering this particular area. The project site consists of a major ravine directly draining to Lake St. Croix and this project is literally at the shoreline. It has been a top priority for Washington County and SWWD to address for years. The second phase of work (more expensive) will address upper ravine stabilization and rate control form the surrounding landscape. So, it’s a 1/1 project. First. Last. All of the above? I can answer any questions the committee may have on the topic during the meeting. If we wanted to split hairs, I suppose one could call it #2 behind the McQuade Ravine we completed a couple years back... however, I don’t like to split hairs and that project has already been completed. :) If I missed anything, let me know. Thanks, Kyle. If possible, prior to our upcoming LSC WP SC meeting, please provide a copy of the concept plans, cost estimate and any landowner agreements, along with the planned installation date for this project. Also, I don’t disagree with your scoring on Appendix C, but if you can provide more information on #6 cost effectiveness and how it scored in the top 1% that would be helpful. This information will be of assistance to the LSC WP SC as we consider this and other projects.
