The program will provide information about shoreline rules and programs available to homeowners, including:

1) Lakeshore development and redevelopment rules, including wetland considerations and regulations;

2) Permits required for common building projects (ex. building a deck, dock, stairway, or home addition);

3) Lake and river friendly landscaping; and

4) Assistance available to homeowners for shoreline planting projects.

 This educational offering is recognized by the Minnesota Commissioner of Commerce as satisfying 3.5 hours of Continuing Real Estate Education requirements.

Featuring speakers from the Lower St. Croix Watershed Partnership, Minnesota DNR, Minnesota Board of Soil and Water Resources, Isanti SWCD, the Chisago Lakes Lake Improvement District, and Chisago County . The workshop is free for SPAAR members, but non-members can register for a fee.
